PatBo
PatBo - NYFW
Photographed during New York Fashion Week, this runway series captures the movement, craftsmanship, and atmosphere of PatBO's presentation through a documentary yet refined perspective. Rather than relying on flash, the entire collection was photographed using available light, preserving the mood of the show while creating imagery with depth, softness, and a cinematic quality. The result is a body of work that feels both editorial and authentic, allowing the garments and the energy of the runway to remain the focus.

The entire runway was photographed exclusively with available light. Rather than introducing flash, the decision was made to preserve the venue's original lighting design and atmosphere. This approach maintained the integrity of the fashion presentation while producing softer transitions, richer color, and a more cinematic aesthetic. It also allowed the garments' textures and movement to be captured naturally without interrupting the live experience.

Rather than documenting the runway from a purely observational perspective, the imagery was composed to immerse the viewer in the experience of the show. Framing, timing, and perspective were used to capture moments that felt both intimate and cinematic.
Alongside the runway looks, the series explores the smaller details that often define a collection: the movement of garments, the texture of fabrics, silhouettes from unexpected angles, and quiet interactions between models. One particularly candid frame captures two models laughing together moments before stepping onto the runway, creating an image that feels less like event coverage and more like an invitation into a fleeting backstage moment.
Intentional motion blur was incorporated throughout selected frames to convey rhythm and movement, while close-up studies of garments, accessories, and construction highlighted the craftsmanship behind the collection.
The accompanying motion work extends this visual language through restrained, detail-driven storytelling—including close studies of feathered shoes in motion, allowing texture and movement to become the focal point rather than the runway itself.
