Garnier
Hispanic Heritage month campaign
For Garnier’s Hispanic Heritage Month campaign, I photographed campaign stills alongside the commercial production, capturing Latina creators and their families as they shared beauty rituals, personal stories, and cultural traditions. The campaign celebrated Latin heritage through the connections between beauty, family, and the traditions we pass from one generation to the next.
-
The campaign’s creative direction centered on authentic conversations between Latina creators and their families, exploring the beauty rituals, expressions, and traditions that connect generations. My approach to the stills was to preserve that sense of intimacy and spontaneity, capturing moments that felt natural while remaining cohesive with the campaign’s broader visual language.
-
Because the stills were captured alongside an active commercial set, my approach was intentionally observational and responsive. I photographed between and during filmed moments, looking for expressions, interactions, and details that could translate the energy of the production into standalone campaign imagery without interrupting the natural dynamic between the talent and their families.
-
The stills were photographed using the lighting designed for the commercial production, allowing the photography and motion assets to share the same visual world. Working within an existing lighting setup meant adapting composition, timing, and exposure in real time while maintaining consistency with the look established for film.
